A uniformity of distribution of \(G_ Q\) in \(G_ A\) (Q793162)

Let G be a connected, simply connected and absolutely almost simple linear algebraic group defined over \({\mathbb{Q}}\). In [Pac. J. Math. 88, 163- 187 (1980; Zbl 0452.22018)] the author has proved for the case where G has \({\mathbb{Q}}\)-rank zero that the group \(G_{{\mathbb{Q}}}\) of rational points is in a certain sense uniformly distributed in the adele group \(G_ A\). In this paper, using advanced techniques from harmonic analysis on such groups, he is able to show that the result is true even if \(rank_ Q G>0\).
