The author constructs isometry groups \(G_ q (q=2t-1\), \(t\in Z\), \(t\geq 2)\), acting discontinuously and freely on the hyperbolic space \(H^ 3\). Each group \(G_ q\) is given by a compact fundamental Dirichlet polyhedron \(P_ q\) and by pairing its faces via isometries of \(H^ 3\) (also orientation reversing). Therefore the 3-manifolds \(M_ q=H^ 3/G_ q\) become non-orientable compact hyperbolic space forms. The author constructs the polyhedron by means of a direct method connected with careful geometric calculations. At the same time, the criterion of \textit{E. M. Andreev} [Math. USSR, Sb. 10, 413-440 (1970); translation from Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 81(123), 445-478 (1970; Zbl 0194.232)] of the existence of a polyhedron in \(H^ 3\) with the assigned combinatorial type is well known. This criterion makes the proof of construction trivial. The author notes that no non-orientable compact hyperbolic space form up to now seems to have been known. However, in the first paper (1931) on compact hyperbolic space forms of \textit{R. Löbell} [Ber. Verh. Sächs. Akad. Lpz., Math.-phys. Kl. 83, 167-174 (1931; Zbl 0002.40607)] an orientable and a non-orientable one are constructed. See also the manifold of \textit{N. K. Al-Jubouri} [Q. J. Math., Oxf. II. Ser. 31, 9-18 (1980; Zbl 0404.57008)].
