As usual we identify the Banach algebra \(\ell^{\infty}\) of all bounded real-valued sequences with the Banach algebra \(C(\beta {\mathbb{N}})\) of all real-valued continuous functions on the Stone-Čech compactification \(\beta {\mathbb{N}}\) of \({\mathbb{N}}\). If M is a real valued infinite matrix mapping \(\ell^{\infty}\) into \(\ell^{\infty}\) then the matrix map \(\phi_ M:\ell^{\infty}\to \ell^{\infty}\), \(g\to Mg\) is linear and continuous. In summability theory it is interesting to know the limit behavior of \(Mg(g\in \ell^{\infty})\) and the structure of the bounded convergence domain of the matrix M. Frequently it is possible to obtain results of this kind by exploring the Radon measures \(\mu_ x\) (\(x\in \beta {\mathbb{N}})\) corresponding to M. In this paper the author develops the machinery of sequences of Radon measures on \(\beta {\mathbb{N}}\) corresponding to a matrix M mapping \(\ell^{\infty}\) into \(\ell^{\infty}\), and he proves very interesting results in case of simple Riesz-means \(\Delta(g,C_ 1)\). In particular we point out three results for \(M:=\Delta(g,C_ 1)\). 1) \(\phi_ M[\ell^{\infty}]\) is a subalgebra and a vector sublattice of \(\ell^{\infty}\) with unit element. 2) If \(g\not\in \ell_ 1\) and the main diagonal converges to zero, then supp \(\mu {}_ x=\sup p {\tilde \mu}_ x (x\in {\mathbb{N}}^*)\), where \({\tilde \mu}{}_ x (x\in {\mathbb{N}}^*)\) denotes the Radon measures corresponding to \(M^ 2:=M\cdot M\). 3) If \(g\not\in \ell_ 1\) and \(x\in {\mathbb{N}}^*\), then \(\mu_ x={\tilde \mu}_ x\) if and only if \(\mu_ x\) is a Dirac measure.
