In the terminology of \textit{T. E. Cecil} and \textit{P. J. Ryan} [Math. Ann. 236, 177-190 (1978; Zbl 0379.53002)] the main result of this paper can be formulated as follows: A cyclide of Dupin in hyperbolic space \(H^{2m+1}\) having two principal curvatures of equal multiplicity and constant mean curvature, is a tube around an m-dimensional totally geodesic subspace.
