The uniqueness of wave solutions for the deterministic non-reducible n- type epidemic (Q794572)

In this paper two results are proved concerning wave solutions of a non- reducible n-type epidemic model which were left unsettled in the earlier paper of the authors, ibid. 17, 45-66 (1983; Zbl 0525.92019). For propagation speeds c greater than or equal to a critical value \(c_ 0\) the existence of a wave solution was established in this earlier paper. In the current paper uniqueness, modulo translations, is proved for \(c>c_ 0\) and for \(c=c_ 0\) if an additional condition on the eigenvalues of a certain matrix holds.
