    Suppose F(z) is analytic in the unit disk E. The nth divided difference \([F(z); z_ 0,\quad z_ 1,...,\quad z_ n]\) is defined as follows: \([F(z);\quad z_ 0]=F(z_ 0)\) and \[ [F(z);\quad z_ 0,...,z_ n]=([F(z);\quad z_ 0,...,\quad z_{n-1}]-[F(z);\quad z_ 1,...,\quad z_ n])/(z_ 0-z_ n). \] The class \(K_ n(E)\) consists of all functions F(z) that are analytic in E with \([F(z);\quad z_ 0,...,\quad z_ n]\neq 0\) for each pairwise disjoint set of points \(z_ 0,...,z_ n\in E\). The subclass \(K^ R_ n(E)\) consists of those functions in \(K_ n(E)\) that have a representation \(F(z)=\sum^{\infty}_{k=1}a_ k^{(n)}z^{n+k-1},\) where all \(a_ k^{(n)}\) are real and \(a_ 1^{(n)}=1\). Let \(\gamma_ m^{(n)}=\quad \max | a_ m^{(n)}|.\) Building on some of his earlier work, the author proves that \[ \gamma_ m^{(n+2)}\leq(m\gamma_ m^{(n)}-1)/(\gamma_ m^{(n)}+m-2) \] and that \(\gamma_ m^{(n)}=(2m+n-1)/(n+1)\) if n is odd.
