Let f be generalized convex with respect to a WT-space U. Two conditions, ''connectedness'' and ''joinedness'', guarantee the transmittal of certain properties of U to f. WT-spaces that satisfy these conditions are characterized. Various examples are given and applications to spline functions are considered. Some resuls are: If U is connected then the vanishing points of U are zeros of f. If U is both connected and joined (''perfect'') then continuity is inherited by f. If U', the space of derivatives, is a WT-space then differentiability is transmitted to f provided that U' is perfect or both U and U' are joined. If U is perfect and its elements are continuous then the convergence of a sequence of generalized convex functions to a continuous function with respect to a broad class of seminorms implies its uniform convergence on compact subsets of (a,b). If both U and U' are perfect and continuous then this result extends to the sequence of derivatives as well.
