The author defines refinements of syntopogenous structures; as an application, from known compatible extensions of syntopogenous structures and quasi-uniformities [e.g. see \textit{A. Császár}, Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hung. 37, 121-145 (1981; Zbl 0457.54020); \textit{A. Császár} and the author, ibid. 37, 59-75 (1981; Zbl 0486.54002)] he obtains new ones with the same family of trace filters.
