    Consider the N-dimensional Euclidean space \(R^ N\) and let \(Z^ N\subset R^ N\) be the integral lattice in \(R^ N\). Let \(\Theta(x- y,\lambda)=(2\pi)^{-N}\sum_{| n|^ 2<\lambda}e^{in(x- y)},\quad n\in Z^ N,\quad \lambda \in R^ 1.\) The Riesz mean \(\Theta^ s(x-y,\lambda)\) of the spectral function \(\Theta\) (x- y,\(\lambda)\) of order s is defined as \[ \Theta^ s(x- y,\lambda)=(2\pi)^{-N}\sum_{| n|^ 2<\lambda}(1-| n|^ 2/\lambda)(1-| n|^ 2/\lambda)^ se^{in(x-y)}. \] The author introduces the following notation: \[ \Theta^ s_ 0(x- y,\lambda)=(2\pi)^{-N/2}\lambda^{N/2}2^ s\Gamma(s+1)J_{N/2+s}(| x+y| \sqrt{\lambda})/(| x-y| \sqrt{\lambda})^{N/2+s}, \] where \(J_{\nu}(x)\) is the Bessel function of first kind of order \(\nu\). Let \[ a(N)=2.7\quad if\quad N\geq 2;\quad =2.6(6)\quad if\quad N=3;\quad =2N/(N-1)\quad if\quad N\geq 4. \] Theorem 1: Let \(N\geq 2\), \(p\geq a(N)\), \(s>{1\over2}(N-1)a(N)(1/a(N)-1/b),\) and let K be an arbitrary compact set of \(T^ N\). Then there exists a constant \(C_ p(K,s)\) such that for every point \(x\in K\) the inequality \[ (1)\quad \| \Theta^ s(x-y,\lambda)-\Theta^ s_ 0(x- y,\lambda)\|_ p\leq C_ p(K,s)[\sqrt{\lambda}]^{(N/2)/2-s},\quad \lambda \geq 1, \] holds true. If \(s=0\) and \(p<a(N)\), then the inequality \[ (2)\quad \| \Theta^ s(x-y,\lambda)-\Theta^ 0_ 0(x- y,\lambda)\|_ p\leq C(\sqrt{\lambda})^{(N-1)/2},\quad \lambda \geq 1,\quad x\in K, \] holds true, where the constant C depends only on the number p and the compact set K.
