A note on the filtered least squares minimal norm solution of first kind equations (Q796263)

A convergence theorem of \textit{J. W. Lee} and \textit{P. M. Prenter} [Numer. Math. 30, 1-23 (1978; Zbl 0425.65074)] for the filtered least squares minimal norm method for the numerical solution of Fredholm integral equations of the first kind \((Kf=g)\) is corrected in this paper. Under suitable restrictions the filtered least squares method is shown to be well posed under compact perturbations in K and arbitrary perturbations in g.
