The considered system of equations of two-layer shallow water is suggested by \textit{L. V. Ovsjannikov} [J. Appl. Mech. and Tech. Phys. 2, 3-14 (1979)]. In contrast to the system of equations of uniform shallow water which is always strictly hyperbolic this system can be both of strictly hyperbolic or of mixed type. In present paper the boundary conditions of domains of strictly hyperbolic and of mixed type are studied.
