The purpose of this paper is to show that special [see B.-Y. Chen, Geometry of submanifolds (1973; Zbl 0262.53036)] conformally flat submanifolds in space forms are totally quasiumbilical if the property of being special remains invariant under conformal transformations of the ambient space.
