The author considers the uniqueness of the determination of u,c and q from the equation \[ u_ t-div(c(x)\nabla u)+q(x)u=\delta(x-x^ 0,t),\quad 0<t,\quad x\in D,\quad c>0,\quad q>0\quad on\quad \bar D, \] with initial and boundary value data \(u(x,0)=0\), \(x\in D\), \((u_ n+\alpha(x)u)=0\), \(t>0\), \(x\in \partial D\) where \(\alpha \geq 0\), and the additional condition \(u(x,t;x^ 0)=f(x,t;x^ 0)\), \(x\in \partial D\), \(0<t\), \(x^ 0\in S\subset \partial D\). Here \(c\in C^ 2(\bar D)\), \(\alpha\),\(q\in C(\bar D)\), \(\delta\) is the Dirac delta, D is a bounded domain in \(R^ n\) with \(C^ 1\)-boundary. Using eigenfunction expansions and the Laplace transform with respect to t he proves the uniqueness of the continuation f from \(\partial D\times R\times S\) onto \(\partial D\times R\times \partial D\) if \(meas_{n-1}S>0\). So from the author's previous results [Inverse problems of mathematical physics (Russian) (Nauka Moscow 1984)] it follows the uniqueness of both c and q.
