In [Lett. Math. Phys. 2, 207-217 (1978; Zbl 0379.16018)] the concept of quasi-multiplication on rings and algebras was introduced. In the present paper the author looks at sequences whose entries are elements of a \({}^*\)-algebra with identity, not necessarily commutative. The quasi- multiplication structure gives expansions for \((A+B)^ n,\quad e^{A+B}\) and \(e^ Ae^ B,\) where A and B are elements of the above mentioned \({}^*\)-algebra. The quasi-algebra associated with the \({}^*\)-algebra generated by creation and annihilation operators is discussed in detail. The author briefly deescribes the quasi-algebra associated with the \({}^*\)-algebra of quantum field operators [Commun. Math. Phys. 27, 223-234 (1972; Zbl 0239.46060)]. This structure has been investigated further and the results will be published soon. Also a non- commutative version of the moment - cumulant relations has been obtained.
