Asymptotic analysis of the process of igniting a combustible gas mixture by thermal inhomogeneity (Q797442)

An approximate solution is obtained for the problem of igniting a gaseous combustible mixture in which a region of higher temperature is created at the initial instant of time. Approximate equations defining the initial stage of the process are derived, and critical values of characteristic parameters corresponding to ignition are established.
