Let m be an arbitrary positive integer. If f(x) has mth derivative \(f^{(m)}(x)\) on [-\(\pi\),\(\pi]\), and the Fourier series of \(f^{(m)}(x)\) converges uniformly, then the degree of approximation of the Fourier series of f(x) to f(x) is uniformly equal to \(O(1/n^ m)\). This result partially proves a conjecture posed in an earlier paper of the author [Arch. Math. 42, 157-158 (1984; Zbl 0522.42012)].
