This paper deals with the following linear operator equation of Fredholm- Volterra type \(x=h+AFx+Vx,\) where A(t) represents a system of linear operators, h(t) is an abstract function, F is a linear functional of Fredholm type and V is a linear operator of Volterra type. Under the assumption that this equation has a unique solution two approximation methods are presented. An error estimation based on a generalized contraction mapping principle is given.
