This paper is a sequel to the author's previous work [Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 15, 519-550 (1979; Zbl 0446.35062)]. It gives a necessary condition for the Cauchy problem for the non-strictly hyperbolic systems known as Leray-Volevich's systems to be well posed.
