The book consists of nine chapters. The first is devoted to making graphs of functions of one variable. The second includes problems which are basically geometrical in character-volumes and extrema associated with geometrical configurations. Chapters III, IV, V and VI, respectively deal with one-variable calculus problems coming from physics and engineering, business and economics, biology and chemistry, and numerical methods. The key role involving problems from earlier chapters is played by Chapters VII and VIII, dealing with theory and techniques of calculus. Each of the chapters has a section of solved problems and a section of supplementary problems, the answers for which are given in Chapter IX. The presentation of solutions is clear, some problems have alternative solutions and more difficult problems (which are not very difficult) are indicated by an asterisk.
