This is a review paper of the authors' works. The interaction of cosmic ray particles with solar wind (magnetic field inhomogeneities) is investigated solving the kinetic equation for the particle distribution function, under various assumptions about solar-wind velocity laws and cosmic-ray diffusion coefficients. The solutions are found in terms of hypergeometric and related functions. It is repeatedly stressed that the conception of gradual decreasing of particle energy [e.g.: \textit{E. N. Parker}, Planetary Space Sci. 15, 1723 ff. (1967)] is not quite correct.
