A matrix is said to be a Toeplitz matrix if \(T=(a_{j-k})\), (T-matrix), and Hankel matrix if \(H=(b_{j+k})\), (H-matrix). The first part of the book presents a survey of the theory of T-matrices and H-matrices (fast inversion, structure, Wiener-Hopf theory). The second part deals with generalizations of T-matrices.
