Auxiliary sets of matrices with non-increasing step parameter sequences (Q801070)

In this paper the author proves two types of results. First, he establishes the existence of H-planes \(\pi\) of type 4 over arbitrary projective planes \(\pi'\) such that the step sequence of \(\pi\) is non-increasing. Secondly, he constructs H planes that have \(q_ 4\) much smaller than \(q_ 3\).
