The paper deals with a vector valued generalization of Ekeland's theorem, now over uniform space. Vectorial values arise because instead of measuring the distance of points with scalars like in metric spaces, in uniform spaces we do this with families of scalars (via the inducing semimetrics). The validity of the theorem is related to the completeness of the underlying uniform space, but not up to the equivalence known in the scalar case. As an application, based on the concept of inwardness, a new fixed point theorem is proved.
