Given a quantum dynamical semigroup \(\phi_ t=\exp Lt\) on a \(W^*\)- algebra \({\mathcal B}\), with infinitesimal generator L of the form \[ L(B)=i[H,B]+\sum^{N}_{j=1}\{V^*_ jBV_ j-[V^*_ jV_ j,B]_+\} \] for all B in \({\mathcal B}\), where \(H=H^*\) and \(v_ j\) \((j=1,...,N)\) are in \({\mathcal B}\), it is shown that there exists a quantum stochastic process in the sense of \textit{L. Accardi, J. T. Lewis}, and the first author, Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 18, 97-133 (1982; Zbl 0498.60099), such that, for all \(0\leq t_ 1\leq t_ 2\leq...\leq t_ n\) and for all n in \({\mathbb{N}}\), its multi-time correlations are given by \[ \mu (j_{t_ 1}(A_ 1)j_{t_ 2}(A_ 2)...j_{t_ n}(A_ n)j_{t_ n}(B_ n)...j_{t_ 2}(B_ 2)j_{t_ 1}(B_ 1))= \] \[ =\rho (\phi_{t_ 1}(A_ 1\phi_{t_ 2-t_ 1}(A_ 2...\phi_{t_ n-t_{n-1}}(A_ nB_ n)...B_ 2)B_ 1)) \] for all \(A_ 1,...,A_ n\), \(B_ 1,...,B_ n\) in \({\mathcal B}\), \(\rho\) being a fixed normal state on \({\mathcal B}\). The construction is effected via the singular coupling limit of multi-time correlations and the reconstruction theorem for quantum stochastic processes. It is then shown that the process is stationary (i.e. \(j_ t=\alpha_ tj_ 0\) for all t, where \(\{\alpha_ t\}\) is a group of automorphisms of the \(W^*\)-algebra \({\mathcal A}\) generated by \(\{j_ t({\mathcal B}):\) \(t\in {\mathbb{R}}\}\) leaving \(\mu\) invariant) if and only if \(\phi_ t\) satisfies the quantum detailed balance condition with respect to \(\rho\), in which case (\({\mathcal A},\alpha_ t,\mu)\) provides a stationary Markov dilation of the dynamical system (\({\mathcal B},\phi_ t,\rho)\).
