Approximations for the conditional waiting times in the GI/G/c queue (Q802218)

This paper considers a two-moment approximation for the conditional average waiting time in the general multiserver queueing model GI/G/C. Further for the particular case GI/G/I the authors have given an approximation for the tail probabilities of the conditional waiting time. The testing of approximations has been done by extensive numerical experiments. The authors have discussed the approximation for the conditional average waiting time in the GI/G/C queueing model and gave numerical results. The approximation for tail probabilities of the conditional waiting time in the GI/G/1 queue is also discussed.
