New methods of the mass and heat transfer theory. I. The method of asymptotic correction and the method of model equations and analogies (Q802417)

Two new approximate analytical methods are suggested to investigate the heat and mass transfer problems - the method of asymptotic correction and the method of model equations and analogies. Comparison of the results obtained with a variety of special typical cases for whose checking exact, approximate or asymptotic formulae are already available shows a good accuracy and wide possibilities of the methods suggested. These methods can also be successfully used to construct approximate (engineering) formulae in the problems of chemical engineering, chemical mechanics, microkinetics, hydrodynamics, etc.
