A class of cones, Q, which contains the positive orthant, is associated to a bilinear homogeneous system. Sufficient conditions are given so that each solution of the system starting in a suitable subset of a cone K in Q, will remain in K for each positive t. In the scalar input case, the conditions are also necessary.
