A space Y of functions defined on the closure \(\bar B\) of the unit ball \(B\subset {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) is said to be \({\mathcal M}\)-invariant if \(f\in Y\) and \(\phi\in {\mathcal M}\) imply \(f\circ \phi \in Y\), where \({\mathcal M}\) is a Möbius group. Let \(C(\bar B)\) be the space of complex continuous functions in \(\bar B\) with the supremum norm, \[ (Pf)(z)=\int_{S}f(\zeta)[(1-| z|^ 2)^ n/| 1-<z,\zeta >|^{2n}]d\sigma_ S(\zeta) \] where \(<z,\zeta >=\sum^{n}_{i=1}z_ i{\bar \zeta}_ i\) and \(\sigma_ S\) the Lebesgue measure on the unit sphere S, \(j: C(\bar B)\to C(S)\) the restriction on S and \[ W=\{f\in B(\bar B)\cap C^ 2(B):\int_{B}| {\tilde \Delta}f(z)|^ 2d\tau (z)<\infty \}, \] where \[ {\tilde \Delta}u=(1-| z|^ 2)\sum^{n}_{i,j=1}(\delta_{ij}-z_ i\bar z_ j)(\partial^ 2u/\partial z_ i\partial \bar z_ j)=0. \] The author establishes that the operator \(P\circ j\) maps each close \({\mathcal M}\)-invariant subspace \(Y\subset W\) in itself. Hence, he deduces that the following conjecture of \textit{A. Nagel} and \textit{W. Rudin} [Duke Math. J. 43, 841-865 (1976; Zbl 0343.32017)] is true in the case of the subspace \(W\subset C(\bar B):\) to each closed \({\mathcal M}\)-invariant subspace \(Y\subset W\) corresponds a direct sum \(Y=Y_ 0\oplus F\), where \(Y_ 0\) and F are closed \({\mathcal M}\)-invariant subspaces of the space \(C_ 0(B)\) of functions zero on S and of the space H(B) of \({\mathcal M}\)- harmonic functions, respectively. We recall that an \({\mathcal M}\)-harmonic function is a solution of the equation \({\tilde \Delta}\)u\(=0\).
