An a priori nonminimal state-space realization of n-D systems (Q803095)

A construction of a certain a priori nonminimal n-variable transfer function is provided and proved. The idea employed by the author is interesting and ingenious, an extension from 2-D problem to the general case is useful and valuable. The construction is performed using an observation that state space realizations of any n-variable transfer function can be simply determined from the companion matrix of some \(n+1\)-variable polynomial. The realization provided in this paper is found explicitly using the multiway matrix notation that allows the author to achieve his result in a clear and reasonably simple way.
