The paper deals with numerical methods for solving discontinuous linear boundary value problems with deviation arguments and integrable coefficients. The authors present methods which converge rapidly and do not require large blocks of computer memory in their implementation. Moreover, for a boundary value problem with deviation argument with a regular singularity at 0 and for a boundary value problem with singularity at the boundary points the authors develop methods for converting these problems into problems which can be solved numerically. Theoretical justifications are confirmed by well-choosen numerical examples.
