Some stability results for Banach spaces with the Mazur intersection property (Q804898)

The question of stability of the Mazur Intersection Property (MIP - every closed bounded convex set is the intersection of closed balls containing it) and the CI property (every compact convex set is the intersection of balls) in Banach spaces is first considered. Characterizations of the MIP and the CI properties for the \(\ell_ p\) sum of Banach spaces and for the Bochner-Lebesgue \(L^ p\) spaces, \(1<p<\infty\), are given.
