Über die Scatteringmatrix elliptischer Modulgruppen. (On the scattering matrix of elliptic modular groups) (Q805657)

The author considers the non-holomorphic Eisenstein series of weight g for the principal congruence subgroup of level q of the rational modular group and he determines the associated scattering matrix and its determinant. The determinant is expressed in terms of L-series, and the position of zeros and poles is described precisely. The same is done for the scattering matrix itself. The results are used in order to write down various asymptotic laws (e.g. for the number of poles of the determinant of the scattering matrix in the region (s)\(\leq T\), Im s\(>0)\) explicitly.
