Let (W,S) be a Coxeter system and \(\ell (w)\) the length of w in W. The growth function \(W(t)=\sum_{w\in W}t^{\ell (w)}\) is a rational function. The authors show that under certain conditions the growth function satisfies \(W(t^{-1})=\pm W(t)\).
