Boundary behavior of biholomorphic maps between domains in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\) or in complex manifolds is a central problem in several complex variables. While there is now an impressive body of results (although the picture is nowhere near clear), results of ``nonextendability to the boundary'', in a sense appropriate to the situation considered, are hard to come by. Results of this kind are presented in the paper under review; the author gives examples of biholomorphisms between (nonsmooth) domains in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\) that do not extend continuously to the boundary.
