The author considers a two-person zero-sum game of timing on the unit square, generalizing the classical duels of type silent-silent and silent-noisy with one action for each player. He makes the additional assumption that Player I gets the information about the moment of Player II's noisy action with a fixed time lag. The author has found optimal strategies for the players and the value of the duel. These results and those earlier found by the author suggest strongly that Karlin's theory about games of timing of class II can be generalized to a wider class of games with payoff functions having richer sets of discontinuity points.
