The author proves the existence of a solution for the following problem: \[ -div A(Du)+F(x,u)=0,\quad u\in W_ 0^{1,p}(\Omega), \] where \(\Omega\) is an open and bounded subset of \({\mathbb{R}}^ N\) with sufficiently smooth boundary \(\partial \Omega\) and A is the gradient of a function \(\phi\) : \({\mathbb{R}}^ N\to {\mathbb{R}}\). He does not assume any condition of ellipticity on g; only g is supposed to be the difference of two strictly convex functions.
