    Let K be a positive compact operator in a Hilbert space H, and U be the unit ball of H. Let S(K,\(\epsilon\)) be \(\epsilon\)-entropy of K(U). In the first part of the paper the author calculates \[ d(K):=\liminf_{\epsilon \to 0}\log S(K,\epsilon)/\log (1/\epsilon) \] in terms of proper values of K. Let \(f(t)=\int^{\infty}_{-\infty}e^{iqt}\rho_ f(q)dq,\) where \(\rho_ f\) is a non-negative function from \(L^ 1({\mathbb{R}}).\) Let \(K_ Tx=\int^{T}_{0}f(t-s)x(s)ds\) for \(x\in L^ 2[0,T]\) and \(\bar S(f,\epsilon)=\limsup_{T\to \infty}S(K_ T,\epsilon)/T.\) In the second part of the paper the value \(\limsup_{\epsilon \to 0}\log \bar S(f,\epsilon)/\log (1/\epsilon)\) is connected with the behaviour of \(\rho_ f\).
