Let E be the class of functions f, defined and continuous on \(R^ m\) and increasing at infinity not faster than the exponential functions, and let X be some domain in \(R^ m\). By definition, a sequence of positive linear operators \(\{L_ n(f,n)\}\), \(n\in N_+\), \(f\in E\), \(x\in X\), belongs to the class B if: 1) \(L_ n(1;x)=1;\) 2) \(L_ n(f,x)\) are differentiable in X; 3) for a quadratic matrix V(x) (covariance) of order m the so-called equation of type B \[ ((d/dx)L_ n(f,x))V(x)=nL_ n((t-x)f(t);x) \] is satisfied. The problems of the determination of all positive linear operators of type B for which the covariance of the operators is: 1) a polynomial of degree \(\leq 3;\) 2) any power function; 3) an exponential function are studied. To this end the concept of the deformation of positive linear operators of type B is introduced and studied.
