The one-dimensional displacement in an isothermal viscous compressible fluid with a nonmonotone equation of state (Q808937)

The purpose of this paper is to develop existence and uniqueness theorems for global weak solutions involving one-dimensional displacements of isothermal viscous compressible fluids with a monotone equation of state. In particular, the well posedness of the problem is considered when in the limit the coefficient of viscosity vanishes as the specific volume tends to infinity, and the initial data are rough.
