Konstruktion lokalkompakter Fastkörper. (Construction of locally compact nearfields) (Q809144)

In this paper a class of disconnected locally compact nearfields is presented. The class consists of Dickson nearfields which are derived from tamely ramified extensions of local fields. The construction methods described here yield couplings on disconnected locally compact commutative fields which are homomorphisms or which have cyclic Dickson groups. As long as the characteristic of the residue field does not divide the order of the Dickson group these methods yield all such couplings which lead to locally compact nearfields.
