The paper contains an example of a continuous mapping \(f:X\to Y\) of completely regular spaces such that the maximal \(\delta_ f\) m-proximity on X can not be generated by a proximity on X. Here X is a locally bicompact space and f has a unique inverse image containing more than one point.
