Let \(f(z)=a_ 0z^ n+...+a_ n\) be a polynomial with real coefficients and with no imaginary zeros. The author suggests applying the argument principle around a semicircle with centre 0 and radius \(\rho =1+\max_{1\leq k\leq n}| a_ k/a_ 0|\) in order to determine the number of zeros of f in the right half plane (since by Cauchy's theorem, here called ``the bounded value theorem of roots for f(z)'', all zeros of f lie in \(| z| \leq \rho)\). Two examples are given, one of degree 3 and one of degree 4. It is not clear why this is considered to be a new method or why it is felt necessary to give a new proof of the argument principle. The statement of Theorem 1 makes sense only when the words ``then'' and ``and'' are interchanged and when two of the commas are changed to periods and vice versa.
