Let R be a hyperbolic Riemann surface. A bounded harmonic function u on R is called a generalized harmonic measure on R if the greatest harmonic minorant of u and 1-u is equal to 0. Let \(\Gamma_ h\) be the Hilbert space of real harmonic differentials on R with finite Dirichlet norm and let \(\Gamma_{\overline{hm}}\) be the completion in \(\Gamma_ h\) of the collection of differentials of generalized harmonic measures on R. A differential is called weakly exact if it has vanishing period along every curve dividing the components of the Royden harmonic boundary. Let \(\Gamma_{hwe}\) be the subspace of \(\Gamma_ h\) consisting of weakly exact harmonic differentials and \(\Gamma^*_{hwe}\) be the subspace of \(\Gamma_ h\) consisting of differentials conjugate to those in \(\Gamma_{hwe}\). Then the following orthogonal decomposition is shown: \[ \Gamma_ h=\Gamma_{\overline{hm}}\dot +\Gamma^*_{hwe}. \] Next, let u be an HD-function on an end R-F on R and let G be a canonical region containing F. Then, it is shown that the formula \[ (du,dv)_{R- G}=-\int_{\partial G}u*dv \] holds for any \(v\in HD(R-G)\) with \(dv\in \Gamma^*_{hwe}(R-G)\) if and only if u can be written as \[ u=u_{\overline{hm}}+p \] on R-G, where \(du_{\overline{hm}}\in \Gamma_{hm}\) and p is a Dirichlet potential on R.
