The author deals with the Cauchy problem \[ \epsilon B(t)\frac{dx}{dt}=A(t,\epsilon)x\quad (t\in [0,T]),\quad x(0,\epsilon)=a(\epsilon)=\sum^{\infty}_{k=0}\epsilon^ ka_ k, \] where \(x=x(t)\) is an n-dimensional vector function, \(A(t,\epsilon)=\sum^{\infty}_{k=0}\epsilon^ kA_ k(t)\) and \(B(t,\epsilon)=\sum^{\infty}_{k=0}\epsilon^ kB_ k(t)\) are \(n\times n\) matrix functions and \(\epsilon >0\) is a small parameter. The main assumption here is that the equation \(\det (A_ 0(t)-\lambda B_ 0(t))=0\) has r roots (counting their multiplicity), where r is the (constant) rang of \(B_ 0(t)\), \(t\in [0,T]\). The formal asymptotics of the above mentioned problem are given and the existence conditions are found.
