Using Eringen's theory of thin micropolar plates, we formulate Dirichlet and Neumann-type problems describing the motion of a thin plate under the influence of time-dependent forces and moments. The energy method is then used to prove uniqueness results for both interior and exterior problems. In the case of the latter the necessary subsidiary formulae are shown to hold in a special class of finite energy functions introduced in the investigation of the elastostatic problems. This allows us to prove uniqueness in a larger class of admissible functions than that used in classical elasticity.
