Effect of indeterminacy of the chemical kinetics on convective heat transfer (Q811292)

The authors consider six systems of experimental data on the dissociation and recombination constants of air, where either the constants are presented in different analytic forms, or the structure of the formulas for the rate constants is the same, but the parameters are different. The effect of the arising interdeterminacy of the chemical kinetics on the heat flux values, the temperature and the concentration profiles is numerically estimated. The results are applied to the flow in the neighbourhood of the stagnation line on the spaceship ``Buran'' during its descent along a gliding re-entry trajectory.
