The Phragmén-Lindelöf principle for the harmonic function defined on a plane sector domain is extended to the parabolic equation: \[ u_ t-\text{div } A(x,t,u,\nabla u)=B(x,t,u,\nabla u) \hbox { in } \Omega\times(0,\infty)\leqno (*) \] where \(\Omega\) is an unbounded and connected domain in the \(n\)-dimensional Euclidean space \(E^ n\), the boundary \(\partial\Omega\) of which satisfies the following condition: there exist some \(x_ 0\in\partial\Omega\) and a \(\theta\in(0,1)\) such that \[ |\Omega\cap\{B(x_ 0,\rho_ 2)\backslash B(x_ 0,\rho_ 1)\}|\leq\theta| B(x_ 0,\rho_ 2)\backslash B(x_ 0,\rho_ 1)|, \qquad \forall\rho_ 2>\rho_ 1>0 \] where \(B(x_ 0,r)=\{x\in E^ n, | x-x_ 0|<r\}\). Let \(u\) be a solution of \((*)\) in the weak sense. If \(u\) satisfies \(u^ +=\max(u,0)=0\) on \(\{\partial\Omega\times(0,\infty)\}\cup\Omega\times\{0\}\) then, either \(u^ +\equiv 0\) or \[ \hbox{ess sup }u^ +_{B(x_ 0,\rho)\times (0,\rho^ 2)}\to\infty \text{ as } \rho\to\infty. \]
