The title of this paper is accurate. In this paper, the authors give a closed formula for volumes of generic hyperbolic tetrahedra in terms of edge lengths. A volume formula in terms of dihedral angles is well known [see Murakami-Yano]. Their new formula is very interesting because it has similar symmetry as Murakami-Yano's dihedral angles version. The authors mention that this volume formula is very related with \(6j\)-symbols and Turaev-Viro invariant for hyperbolic three manifolds, but we are sorry because there is no concrete description about these relationships in this paper. And we hope to get more information about this volume formula. For example, when a vertex of the hyperbolic tetrahedron moves to an ideal point, we would like to know the behavior of the formula.
