In an earlier paper [Mat. Studii 19, 201--207 (2003; Zbl 1023.54017)] the first author introduced a normal functor \(H\) acting on the category \(\mathsf{Comp}\) of compact Hausdorff spaces and continuous maps, where \(H\) is a compactification of the Hartman-Mycielski construction \({HM}\) [\textit{S. Hartman} and \textit{J. Mycielski}, Colloq. Math. 5, 167--169 (1958, Zbl 0086.02601)]. In the present paper the authors show that, for each non-degenerated metrizable compact Hausdorff space \(X\) and each dense \(\sigma\)-compact subspace \(Y\) of \(X\), the pair \((HX,{HM}Y)\) is homeomorphic to \((Q,\sigma)\) where \(Q\) denotes the Hilbert cube and \(\sigma=\{(x_k)_k\in Q\mid x_k=0\text{ for all but finitely many }k\)
