Let \(M^n\) be a compact \(n\)-dimensional Kähler manifold with Kähler metric \(ds^2=g_{i\bar j}dz^idz^{\bar j}\). The author discusses the following complex version of Hamilton's Ricci flow equation: \[ \frac{d}{dt}g_{i\bar j} = g_{i\bar j}-Ric_{i\bar j} = \partial_i\bar\partial_j u, \] where \(g_{i\bar j}(t)=g_{i\bar j}(0)+\partial_i\bar\partial_j\varphi\) and \(\frac{d}{dt}\varphi = u\). It is known that a solution of this equation exists for all times \(t\in [0,+\infty)\) [see \textit{H. D. Cao}, Invent. Math. 81, 359--372 (1985; Zbl 0574.53042)]. The author analyses the convergence of the flow when \(t\to \infty\). She proves that if the Ricci curvatures are uniformly bounded, \(| \text{Ric}| \leq C\) for all \(t\), then for every sequence \(t_i\to\infty\) there exists a subsequence such that \((M, g(t_i+t))\to (Y, \bar g(t))\) and the convergence is smooth outside a singular set \(S\), \(\operatorname{codim} S\geq 4\). Moreover, \(\bar g(t)\) solves the Kähler-Ricci flow equation off the singular set. The case of complex dimension \(2\) is discussed in more details. The author demonstrates that one can find a subsequence of times \(t_k\to \infty\) such that the flow converges to a Kähler-Ricci soliton, \(g_{i\bar j} -R_{i\bar j}=V_{i,\bar j} +V_{\bar j,i} \) for some holomorphic vector field \(V\), away from finitely many isolated singularities.
